And then there were two…

At the weekend we finally decided it was time for three more ducklings to go to their new home and so now we have just two- Cassidy and Butch. As yet we are unsure as to their sex but we think they are both female. Jemima has decided it’s time to let them fend for themselves so she has rejoined Jacob and, worryingly, she is checking out the old nest site, 20 foot up in the oak tree! So I am anxious that we may well end up with another 12 or so ducklings!

Meanwhile, Wallis has grown yet again and she is a bundle of non-stop energy, throwing herself at the other dogs and launching herself off the sofas. Two long walks a day fail to tire her out. So she begins puppy training next month. Perhaps a few lessons will give her something to think about other than creating mayhem. However, we love her to bits and Eva, our established collie, seems to like her and plays with her on the Begwns.
